Injury is your worst enemy. Destroy it.
If you obey correct training principles, you will generate the results you are looking for…
As long as you don’t get injured!
Injuries are the worst. Nothing is more frustrating than starting from square one after a frustrating injury.
Invest the time and energy into not getting injured now, don’t wait before you have a nagging injury.
Injuries almost always sneak up on you as imbalances, mis-alignment, and overuse slowly turn into a nagging problem.
Avoiding injury is a habit, not a "fix it now" cure!
One of the best tools for developing proper body alignment, and thus increasing perofmance and drstically reducing injury occurence is Eric Cressey’s new manual:
Assess and Correct
This manual will allow you to easily (5 minutes) assess your body alignment, and begin to implement the proper exercises to correct and maintain your athletic alignment. The exercises won’t take you more than 10 – 15 minutes (remember it’s a habit).
Assess and Correct comes with a number of bonuses that will aid in implementing this as well as Eric Cressy and Mike Robertson guide on myofascial release.
I’ve been recommending Assess and Correct to the many athletes I CANNOT meet with to personally assess their athletic alignment etc.
I see so many athletes who suffer from back pain, knee pain, ankle pain, chronically twist ankles, and many other nagging injuries that could be easily assessed and corrected (duh) with Eric’s manual.
I sincerely recommend that you get Eric’s manual, AND make a habit out of the exercises based on your assessment.
