Questions about The Jump Manual or Jacob Hiller’s training services?
For general questions, comments, or to submit a testimonial please use the form at the bottom of this page. PLEASE browse the FAQ to make sure your question is not answered below.
1. Will this work for me?
This is addressed on the website www.jumpmanual.com. ANYONE can produce steady gains on their vertical jump despite race, gender, age or any other PERCEIVED limitation. We can ALL train our body to be more explosive.
2. How fast will this work? How many inches will I gain in X amount of weeks?
Most people gain ¾ – 1 inch per week. The closer you get to a 50 inch vertical those gains may slow down, but gains will still come steadily. You should also consider that some athletes can make significant gains through form, flexibility, strength and a variety of other factors. I have many athletes gain 2 – 4 inches through form alone! This being said, I stand by my Guarantee, 10 inches in 12 weeks.
You may also repeat the program to continue getting excellent results.
3. How do I receive the product? How fast?
The product is an instant download to your computer. All the videos and training info is now available in one location. You will receive a code and download for Mac or PC. You may print the manual.
4. How much time is this going to take?
The program is usually done 2 – 3 times per week and sessions last about 1 hour. If you have special circumstances I can work with you to help you fit it into you schedule.
5. Do I need a weight room? / What equipment do I need?
No, you do not need a weight room. I list alternatives if you do not have access to a weight room. In fact, for any equipment I recommend in The Jump Manual I show free or cheap alternatives.
6. How do I cancel the monthly coaching?
Send me an email to “jacob@jumpmanual.com” with your purchase ID and I will cancel your coaching as soon as it is received. I guarantee that you will not be charged if you have canceled.
7. If I do this program will I lose my results during the season or afterwards?
As long as you stay active you will not lose the results you have gained. Muscle atrophy (strength loss) takes place when activity is dramatically reduced or halted completely. Because continuing to play your sport will continue to activate your muscles you will maintain your muscle growth. You may lighten the program during the season and still continue to make steady gains without interfering with your regular training regimen.
8. What is your guarantee?
I give you 60 days to try The Jump Manual, and if you are not completely satisfied I will offer your money back. Do the program, stay in touch with me during the first 30 – 60 days, and I am 100 % sure you will be satisfied with the results. If, after really trying the program, you are not satisfied, I will offer you a complete refund.
9. What if I miss a day/days?
Normally this will be no problem. A day here and there is probably good to give your body a break and extra recovery, as most people tend to over work themselves. If you will be off the program for a week or more you may want to maintain progress with simple exercises you can do indoors. Even people on vacation can take 10 – 20 minutes to perform a few simple maintenance exercises. Email me if you would like to have them.
10. How much time do I rest in between sets?
95% of the exercises are meant to be at max effort, because we are training you to jump higher, which require a maximum effort. Usually 2 – 4 minutes should be plenty, but if you are still fatigued, can’t lift the weight as well, or can’t jump as high give yourself more rest time. The key is to be able to give a maximum effort. If your rest time is so long that your muscles get cold, than it is counter productive.
11. I did the first workout and I am not sore… is this normal?
Soreness comes mostly from strength training which is the day 4 workout. Your day 1 should feel fresh, and as if you are jumping higher than ever. You should not feel fatigued during the training, or overwhelmingly sore the next day. Remember, this is somewhat counter intuitive. We are not training for the mile run, we are training for power output and vertical explosion.
12. If I eat sweets and candy will my vertical go down?
Moderation here is the key. In a perfect world I would just tell you not to eat candy and sodas, this would ensure you the best possible results. The truth about sweets is that in moderation they will have no effect on your progress. A soda or candy bar every couple of days will make virtually no difference. However, if you are trying to lose weight, or if you find yourself drinking sodas and eating candy every day you might want to make some changes. But your priority should be in well rounded nutrition first. If you are not getting protein, carbs, and the vitamins you need then whether or not you eat sweets is hardly an issue.
13. I recently did “such and such program” is your program like that or what do you think of this program?
I consider it my responsibility to read every program out there. I am always purchasing other programs and going over the information, as well as meeting with other trainer around the world to always improve my own program. My program is different from any I have used or reviewed so far. I am completely biased but I believe the program to be more scientifically grounded, cutting edge, easy to understand, and dedicated customer support (ahem J ). I refuse to bash on any other programs because that’s just not my style. There are plenty of programs out there that will get you results, and there are also gimmicks and marketers to sift through. I am here to help you reach your goals. Work with me, communicate with me, and we will both rejoice in the results.
14. I am trying to purchase the program but I am getting an error after I submit payment. What can I do?
There are a few security checks on the payment processing. Not using correct name, address, or other information could be the problem. Also if you are using someone else’s card, or using your own card out of country you may have problems. I would try submitting your payment again, or try to pay using Paypal if you have an account. You may also try contacting Clickbank (my payment processor) directly if you continue to have problems.
15. I play soccer/football etc… and I want to get faster and quicker. Will this program also make me faster?
Speed and quickness is largely a measure of how quickly you can apply create great amounts of force. This is exactly what the vertical jump is training you to do. You may even find that training your vertical is the most effective way to become a faster runner. You will definitely notice a difference in top speed, first step quickness, and overall quickness, it is a natural consequence of training your explosive abilities.
16. I have no money but I REALLY want this program can I get it for free please!
I really wish I could give it to you for free, and you surely deserve it! But it simply wouldn’t be fair to all the others and I cannot give away free copies of the program.
